C'est la vie

Well some things happened and I reasoned to myself that it was best I part ways with my beloved CRX. It was easily the hardest decision in my life to date.

I cried hard for about 15 minutes and haven't looked back since. I spent almost no time without a project and I got my dream car, a car I have literally wanted for 10 years now, a 1987 Nissan 200SX. I drove a million hours into the mountains of North Carolina to buy her and I love it more and more each day, this car is stupid fun, and people are always looking at it. I love it.

But there is no way I could just DD and hard-park it, I bought this car to drift! And drift I did.

This car makes me so happy I don't even regret selling my first love. For real.

So remember when I said

That I would just have to replace little shit on the CRX until it popped? I didn't account for human error clearly. I adjusted the timing, broke a piston somewheres and now it blows oil out of the breather. Rad. Essentially the plan is to fix/sell/buy another Supra that I can hoon in like a child.

I bought a new car though, a new-ish (2010) Toyota Matrix. So I'm still in the Toyota game even though I'm not. It's pretty chill I'd say. If anything it has gobs more torque but the downside is it feels like driving a monster truck compared to the Honda so that kind of sucks. No worries I should have the CRX back up sometime in March (maybe sooner) to drive it some and then see where the world takes me from there.

Parties, moving, jobs, and motorbikes.

So a shit ton of time has passed since my last update, whoops. Essentially right after I finished the rebuild me and a few friends decided to move to Charleston because why not? Didn't have internet for a few months and I thought I was going to die. I got a new job doing nothing impressive at a Pep Boys 20 minutes from our shitty apartment in the hood. The increased income has helped me do cool stuff to the CRX as well as buy a whole lot of nonsense. So anyway this is Tsugi now:

Then after talking about it since July, I finally bought a motorcycle, a 1973 Honda MT250 which should prove to be a proper hoot once I get it sorted.
Also I turned 21 so that involved a lot of bar hopping and then making dumb faces into other people's cameras because that's just how I roll.
We also talked our way into a speakeasy and proceeded to get blasted on moonshine and whatever cheap/free shit we could funnel into our mouths.
Moral of the story: life has been awesome. Its had it's downs but it has been mostly up ever since I moved out, going to a bigger city was a boss choice.

Life is hard.

Butt fuck it. I had to sell the Supra (way back in February) in order to rebuild my CRX, which turned out awesome and managed to do just before it chewed through a rod bearing, but I still miss the fuck out of it. I'll get another one soon. It shall be missed though.

The CRX is proving to be more awesome on a daily basis though, as it gets 35mpg, have A/C, and manage to be about as fast as a new car, from now on it should just be small parts and shit until the wheels fall off. Here are some pictures of what I did.
Rebuilt!
It looks all new tucked in there, minus a few small parts.

Exams

Well turkey break is over so its time for exams which means fuck all, really, I dun goof'd all this semester up. Here's the good noose, however. My CRX made the 1600 mile round trip to Brohio and back home but I got no pictures of anything cool because I get down like that.

While I was there I managed to snag 12 pistons and rods, a downpipe, and some other random stuff that will also make it to my build because why not. I looked at hot broads, drank cheap beer, watched some great movies, and only used three full tanks of gas to get there and back. It wasn't a huge success but hey life can't always be so smooth.

Anyways the long awaited rebirth of my Supra shall come soon as it has sucked a million horse dicks not having that giant noise machine to slide around and scare old ladies. I mean seriously that car was fun as balls to drive and I can't wait to have it back. Chopping the springs down this week, as well, because I've always wanted to drive a bouncy castle.

That was about the peak of my break and as we all know, for every up, there is a down, and a great down to my life was as I got back into town around 3:30am on Saturday, my Uncle Donnie passed away. He was such a huge impact on my childhood and I seriously hope I could be half the uncle he was. I love him and I miss him very much and I have decided to dedicate the Supra to him and re-name it "The Don" in his memory. My uncle was a very serious but caring person and I'm going to try my best to incorporate that into this build. Rest in peace Dominic, you were the best uncle anybody could ever ask for.

November brain?

OK, so my friend is a tit for hyping me on "getting me a beetle" for like a month now but now he wants it after I got it home. Jew story bro. On top of that I need one piston and rod for the Supra which is rarer than a Bentley in a trailer park. However my great friends in Ohio have two full sets of six as well as a 3" downpipe for me when I see them over thanksgiving, so if I can hold off until the new year, I could quite possibly turbo this car and still of spent less than $2k on it.

So, good and bad I guess. Gives me even more time in the miserable cold to sort out the engine bay before anything actually goes in it (I.E. replace clutch master cylinder). I did manage to plumb some of the engine bay as well as stick on the last of the trim I'd been dragging ass on putting back on.

Tore down the engine some more (got the crank out). Need to get the allen sockets from my friend so I can take the head off and throw new pistons in it. Also need a new front crank seal as mine is a tad chewed up from something. Anyway that's about all I have to rant about. Happy Sunday.

Greener Grass

Okay guys I've been putting off posting here because I still haven't done a damn thing to the Supra worth mentioning since I put the 7M-GE in it, HOWEVER a challenger has appeared!!

1973 Super Beetle! $Free.99!

Needs an ass of work but it will be a pretty sweet car once it's done.

Anyway the engine for the Supra should be fully assembled ready to go by Sunday and running by next weekend, I expect to blow all the spare rubber I have off of it by the following Monday.

Okay, I lied, I did paint it:

That's all though.

Buttchin

So thanks to the great United States Postal Service, I won't have a running CRX until Monday afternoon. I seriously could of hitch-hiked to Louisiana by this point. Oh well there is a flip-side to every coin and the flip side is the Supra.

I eventually stopped being lazy and grabbed the crank my friends have been bugging me about for probably two months now. Took it to a machine shop and got it polished and cleaned for 30 American dollars. Well I'm happy that it turned out great, pissed because I dicked off about it for two goddamn months. Oh well. Anyway, I started to put the fenders back on because I'm just going to paint it as a whole with a real gun and some single-stage white paint (cheap as fuck). Also white hides flaws so that's also a plus. I'm going to make a paint booth next weekend and paint my car and my friends car in four days.

We will see how that goes over LOL.

Anyway plans for Saturday are as follows:
- Look at cool European cars
- Drift a BMW
- Gloat about it
- Sleep

That's about it, happy Friday and have a great weekend!

HOLY WOW

Okay so not a lot has been done in the way of the fun car in the backyard, and I've also managed to convince my CRX to stop running so that is something I like to call a FUCK YOU.

CRX needs new head bolts since I've reused those probably 40 times in the past 4 years so then engine has about 10psi compression on each cylinder. ARP's ordered and on the way.

Guy in Atlanta got the car shipped to him and I'll be able to pick up the crank Friday. I might skip the Euro Auto Festival this year in order to get the engine together or something together on that car so I can have it running by the 22nd.

GT5 2.0 update tomorrow. This week just started but it feels pretty massive already. All I really need to do is grab that muffler from my mate and get it welded on so I don't wake the dead when I fire it up and do a burnout in my backyard.

That's all for now ladies and gents!

Twist and shout

OK. I got fuck-all done this weekend with the awesome weather and the like. So that's minus points.

Also the guy with the crank probably won't be able to get that to me until the 22nd so that's a bunch of fat assholes.

School also sucks massive amounts of bleeding rat tails, have two papers due and like two tests this week along with some homework due so fuck me.

However if I can get the crank before then I can get my car running sooner so I can flog the shit out of it. I miss that. I end this post with a song.
